ouzo 12one of the major commercial ouzosstandard ouzo aniseed liqueurThis is one of the most common "mainstream" ouzos produced in Greece, and is frequently available in America and elsewhere.
It's significantly smoother than a lot of the stuff people drink in Greece, and a bit sweeter as well. All in all, a good introduction to ouzo, if you can find it. [0 / 0 found this useful , viewed 380 times]

Description / Instructions / ReviewOuzo is a greek aniseed liqueur, which ranges from slightly sweet to sickeningly sweet depending on the variety (and the target audience).
There are only a few ouzos wideley available outside Greece (aside from Ouzo 12 there's "Mini" and "Plomariou", both significantly harder to find in most places). Ouzo is commonly consumed with a variety of "mezethes", which is a catch-all word for typical Greek (and Turkish) appetizers. |
