Turning Leaf Chardonnay

I stock this pretty regularly for a casual glass of wine on a hot day; it's a middle-of-the-road chardonnay and doesn't try to do any one thing with any emphasis. As a consequence, it makes it very easy to think "hmm, maybe I'll have a little wine while I watch whatever this lousy show is"; at its price level, it's fun to keep around just for those random moments when you're suddenly hankering for a glass of white wine.

Speaking of price, Turning Leaf's pricing is a bit of a mystery as I've seen their prices on this bottle range from $4 to $8 depending on the store; I'd say it's hard to find a better bottle at the $4 end, but as you approach $8 there is much stiffer competition.
