I've lived in Louisiana with my boyfriend for about six months now. I'm trying to cook more often to help us eat better and save money. My mom and grandmothers cooked mostly from scratch, so I learned a bit from them, but my favorite foods when I lived alone were instant mashed potatoes and Rice-a-roni.
