Ingredients- 1 cup rice (preferably basmati)
- 2 cups water or chicken broth - 1/4 cup white wine - 1 onion, chopped - 3 tblspoons olive oil - 3 -4 tblspoons grated parmesan cheese - black pepper to taste (no need for salt due to parmesan) Directions- In a small saucepan (about 9 inch) heat up oil
- Saute onions (3-4 minutes), stirring - Add rice and saute for 2 minutes, stirring - Pour over wine and stir - Add pepper, rice and parmesan cheese, stir well. - Add water or broth, stir and cover with lid. - Cook on medium for about 15 minutes, or until water is absorbed. - Remove from heat but leave lid on for another 10 minutes. |
