Ingredients- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups water, if you use basmati or - 2 ½ cups water, if you use the yellowish (Uncle Ben’s style) rice - 2 tblspoons butter or margarine or corn oil - salt to taste Directions- Place all ingredients in a cooking pot, stir once well.
- Place lid on and boil, over high temperature, until water is not visible from the top. - No need to stir. - Turn heat off and let stay for about 10-15 minutes, with lid on. - It is ready to be served when you are ready (it should not have any liquids left in it if done properly). |
