Ingredients- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion, finely chopped - 3-4 garlic cloves, finely chopped - 1 tblspoon mint - 2 tblspoons olive oil - 1 egg, slightly beaten - ¼ cup polenta (cornmeal) - salt and pepper to taste - frying oil (preferably olive oil, more resistant to high temperatures) Directions- mix all ingredients well
- form little balls, the size of a big walnut, and then using both palms flatten them - heat up oil in frying pan, on medium - fry meatballs until golden brown on both sides (25-30 minutes) - slow frying will produce a better results (taste wise and health wise) serve with green salad, or greek salad, or tomato sauce (see links) |
