Ingredients- 8-10 oz country style sausage links, sliced
- 2 cups rice - 1 large onion, chopped - 1 large red bell pepper, sliced - salt to taste - ¼ teaspoon chili powder - 4 tblspoons olive oil - 4 cups warm water Directions- in a frying pan, sauté onions, pepper and sausage, until onion golden brown (4-5 minutes), stirring
- add rice and sauté for 3-4 minutes, stirring - add salt and chili powder - add water, and cover pot. - cook, over medium, for about 20 minutes - empty mix in a baking pan and place in preheated oven, at 375 - bake until top is golden brown note: if you have a cooking pot that can be used on the stove as well as in the oven, then you can save yourself the cleaning of an additional pot. |
