Ingredients- 2 large onions, peeled and sliced (1/2 cm wide slices)
- frying oil batter - ½ cup flour - ½ cup cornmeal - ¾ cup beer - 1 teaspoon cumin - ½ teaspoon salt - ½ teaspoon black pepper Directions- heat up oil (deep frying is better) - “break up” onion slices into onion rings - mix all batter ingredients well - fold onion rings into batter (2 -3 at a time to keep up with the fast deep frying) - drop into frying pan, fry a 1-2 minutes and remove from pan - place on thick paper napkin to remove excess oil - serve warm |
