Ingredients

- 1cup lentils
- 4 cups water
- 2-3 garlic cloves
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 tblspoons olive oil
- salt to taste

vinegar

Directions

place all ingredients, except vinegar, in a cooking pot
boil, over medium for about 45 minutes, or until lentils soft


note: you may need to add water if it has evaporated before lentils are done, or if you wish for your soup to be of not as thick consistency.

Before you serve remove bay leaves, and add vinegar (about 1 tblspoon per serving)
