Ingredients- 1 lb lamb, sliced or cubed
- 1 large onion, chopped - 1 tblspoon dill or fennel - 5-7 tblspoons olive oil - 1 tblspoon dry oregano - salt and black pepper to taste - ½ cup fresh lemon juice - warm water (1-2 cups) - 1 lb fresh broccoli, chopped & steamed or boiled Directions- sauté onion in olive oil, stirring for about 3-4 minutes
- add lamb and continue stirring fro another 4-5 minutes, stirring - add oregano, salt & pepper; stir - add lemon juice and warm water, enough to cover ingredients - bring to a boil, cover pot, lower heat to medium, and simmer for about 1 hour, or until meat is tender and water has evaporated; you may need to add water if meat not done before water has evaporated - add steamed broccoli, stir well for 1-2 minutes |
