Ingredients- 3 tblspoons oil
- 1 onion, chopped - 2-3 garlic cloves, chopped - 2 tblspoon fresh basil, minced (or 1 tblspoon dry) - 1 tblspoon dry sage - 2 cans whole tomatoes in tomato juice - 100 ml thick cooking cream - salt and black pepper to taste fresh basil leaves to garnish Directions- sauté, in oil, onion and garlic, for 4-5 minutes, stirring
- add tomatoes (and juice), basil, sage, and continue sautéing for another 4-5 minutes, stirring - add salt and pepper, cover with lid, and simmer for about 15 minutes - remove from heat, puree mixture, using a food processor, return to cooking pot - add cream, stirring constantly, until it thickens. Serve warm Garnish with fresh basil leaves, or coriander leaves |
