carbonara - linguinepasta, bacon and cheese30 minutes / 4-6 servings- kids love it.

Ingredients- 1 lb linguine (cooked al dente)
- 5 slices bacon, chopped - 3 tblspoons olive oil - 8 onces coarsely grated gouda cheese - 200 ml thick cooking cream - note: bacon may be replaced with smoked turkey - note: gouda cheece may be replaced with any soft cheese that melts easily Directions- use a 10 inch cooking pot
- saute oil and bacon until bacon is crispy - lower heat to medium-low - add cooked linguine and mix well - add cheese and cooking cream and mix - place lid on and let it cook over low heat for about 10 minutes, or until cheese has melted, stirring a couple of times - take away from stove and let stay for 5-10 minutes before serving |
