Peet's is a coffee and tea chain with a bit of a hippie undercurrent, although it's mostly in the clientele rather than anything in the marketing image of the shop.

This particular one is competing with 5 other coffee shops for attention, and its primary differentiators are the wide selection of tea, and adjacency to Noah's bagels.

Food / Service

Many people seem to think they have great coffee... I find it pretty typical. On the other hand, I do quite like their large selection of teas, and would recommend it for that purpose.

The pastry selection is smallish, but not bad; I recommend the chocolate chip cookies.

Environment / Ambience

This shares the outdoor patio with Noah's, which is quite pleasant most days.

Inside, it has a number of small tables and a bar, and people frequently hang out working on whatever it is they work on.
