excellent eclectic californian and seafood

This is a great restaurant in Marina Del Rey, with a dining room directly overlooking the water. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

It's busy, and they recommend reservations, although the two times I've gone it hasn't been necessary.

Food / Service

The food is difficult to pin down, but is broadly californian and is of excellent quality.

There are many asian micro-influences, and a couple of outright asian dishes; they also serve a daily "bento box" lunch, which despite its name is actually filled with pretty typically european foods (mine had steak and risotto, for example).

The seafood is quite fresh and very well executed.

Environment / Ambience

For a start, it's right on the marina, and you have a clear view out to the water (although it's generally full of boats).

The dining room is roomy and casual, and the decor is fairly trendy and chic. In general, it has a fun professional feel to it.
