Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

I'm biased, but I personally find their coffee to be the best among the main franchise coffee competitors; I don't try their "specialty" drinks very often (frozen coffees, and other such concoctions) so I can't really comment on those.

However, they make a pretty tasty lemon bar, and generally their sweets are quite good (they have a black forest cake from time to time that's excellent with a cup of cappuccino).

They have extensive outdoor seating, but you have to realize that it's not just the patio immediately outside the shop; there's a little mini-plaza that leads back towards Macy's and the parking structure with lots of space and places to sit.

You can easily bask in the sun or hang out under a tree or umbrellas and pass the time quite pleasantly.

Inside, there is a small number of rather small tables. Competition for them is quite stiff when it's hot outside.
