This is one of my favorite places in Pasadena. The food is
always excellent, and they have a good selection of daily specials, wines, and desserts.

All in all, a great place to eat in Pasadena.

Food / Service

Marston's serves a mix of Californian cuisine, ranging from southwest style seafood dishes, to a variety of enticing pastas (many with goat cheese and sun-dried tomato), and many of the other "usual suspects" like portobello mushroom, avocado salads, and so on.

They also serve a variety of sandwiches and salads for lunch in addition to their main courses. The "Cordierra" and "Pasadena" salads are among my favorites.

The food is always of very high quality, and creatively executed and presented.

Environment / Ambience

Casual, pleasant, and friendly despite its slightly upscale target audience and slightly above-average prices.

There's an outdoor patio that, in summers, is within hearing distance of the adjacent outdoor theater. Whether or not that's a benefit is up to you :)

It can get a little crowded at peak hours (usually brunch/lunch).
