El Torito

This place has its critics (what with karaoke night), but it's my favorite place to go for mexican food in pasadena. The burritos, fajitas, chips, and guacamole are very consistently good. The limited waitstaff is always overworked, but very polite and friendly.

Huge restaurant divided into a handful of dining rooms, each containing both large booths and tables spaced with ample room in between. There is also a separate bar area (must be 21 to enter) which is always louder, less clean, and served by more distracted waitstaff. Overall, El Torito is not the most pleasant place to be, but the food makes up for it.
