good mid-price sushi and sashimi

This is one of my "standard" sushi destinations in the general Pasadena area. It's probably the best combination of price + environment + quality + authenticity, although there are certainly comparably good places that are cheaper (see link to Shaab).

(The Star Trek image is from the wall outside their bathroom ... apparently some Star Trek actor ate there at some point)

Food / Service

They serve a variety of dishes, but mostly I just order sushi and sashimi platters (and the attendant rolls).

Many of the dishes and platters come with miso soup and cucumber salad.

They have a pretty good happy hour with sake-derived martinis Mon-Thurs.

Environment / Ambience

It's a well lit organized space, with a reasonable amount of style given that they're quite mainstream.

The sushi bar is frequently full at peak times, but tables are usually available.
